Room kits · KIT-H and KIT-B

A Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms kit that arrives signed in, not in eleven boxes.

Two kits for two kinds of room: a huddle room video conferencing kit for four to six seats, and a boardroom kit for long tables. Every part listed below, every part run for 48 hours on your platform before it ships from Austin.

KIT-H

KIT-H: the huddle room video conferencing kit

KIT-H is for rooms up to about 4 × 5 m with four to six seats. It is built around our VB-C compact bar, with a mini PC running Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms behind the display and a 10-inch touch controller on the table. Walk in, tap Join, the meeting starts. Nobody plugs in a laptop.

The mini PC is what makes it a room and not a bar on a wall. It holds the room account, joins from the calendar and keeps updating itself overnight. We set it up with your tenant details, sign the account in on the bench, and leave it running for 48 hours so the first update cycle happens with us, not during your Monday stand-up.

A display is not in the base band. Most huddle rooms already have one. If yours does not, we add a 55 or 65-inch screen and price it separately; the DSP-65 fits when you want touch.

KIT-B

KIT-B: the boardroom kit for long tables

KIT-B is for rooms of ten to twenty-four seats, usually 5 × 8 m or longer. A video bar cannot cover that. The people at the far end of the table are 7 m from the bar's microphones and look like ants in its wide lens. So the kit splits the jobs: a PTZ camera with 12× optical zoom on the display wall, two 600 mm ceiling microphone tiles over the table, and a DSP that mixes them, cancels echo and feeds the room compute.

Two displays: one for the far end's faces, one for content. The camera holds presets for the head of the table, the whole table and the whiteboard, recalled from the controller. We tune the presets on site in Austin, or by remote session with someone in the room when the kit ships elsewhere.

The band is wide, $9,500 to $16,000, because displays and ceiling work drive it. Two 65-inch screens on a plaster wall sit near the bottom. Two 86-inch screens and tiles in a hard ceiling sit near the top. A photo of the room usually tells us which end.

7 mWhere a bar stops working

Between the 5 and 8 m rooms sits a gap neither kit fits cleanly. There we build to order: a VB-W wide bar plus one ceiling tile usually covers eight to twelve seats for less than KIT-B. We will say which after seeing the room.

Survey to first call

How a kit gets to the room

Three to five weeks for a KIT-B, two to three for a KIT-H. Full detail on room planning.

  1. Week 1

    Room details

Length, width, ceiling, seat count, wall photos. For KIT-B in the Austin area we visit and measure; elsewhere a video walk-through does it.

  2. Week 1 to 2

Written quote and bill of materials

Every part, quantity and cable length on one sheet. You approve it. Payment is by invoice after the quote.

  3. Week 2 to 3

    Bench staging and 48-hour burn-in

The whole kit is wired together on the bench, signed in to your Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms account, and left running calls for 48 hours.

  4. Week 3 to 5

    Install and handover

Mounted, cabled, tuned with a live call, then 30 days of configuration support.

Before you order

What buyers ask about room kits

Do we need Teams Rooms licences?

Yes. The room compute needs a room licence from Microsoft or Zoom, bought through your own tenant. We do not resell licences; we sign in the account you give us.

Are the kits certified by Microsoft or Zoom?

We say configured for Teams Rooms and runs Zoom Rooms, because that is what we test. Certification is the manufacturer's claim to make, not ours.

Can we swap a part?

Often. Keep your existing displays, add a third tile, drop the speakers if the room has ceiling audio. The bill of materials changes, the burn-in does not.

Who should not buy a kit?

Teams that bring laptops to every meeting and never use room accounts. A USB bar is cheaper for them. Run bring-your-own-device in the estimator to see the difference.
